Matthew Jordan Smith has written a nice post on pixiq.com in which he explains how he used the Profoto Softlight Reflector to create two different images. In the first one, he used the Softlight Reflector as key light, in the second (above) as fill light.

Matthew concludes: “Always experiment to go above and beyond the norm.  It is great to learn all the rules of lighting and photography but after you have learned the rules it is fine to break them to achieve better results.” Well said, Matthew.

Read the post here. We would also like to remind you of this video, in which Matthew shares his thoughts on light shaping and gear choice.
