We have a reoccurring series of articles called Light Shaping Tool of the Month, in which we on a monthly basis highlight an item in Profoto’s rich assortment of Light Shaping Tools. There are two reasons for this: 1) To demonstrate what the tool can do. 2) Explain how to do it.
To achieve this, we interview a photographer who appreciates working with a certain tool. We show the images he or she has created with the tool in question, we ask them how they did it, and we let them share their general thoughts and ideas on the matter.
So far we have interviewed Alex Giacomini about the Umbrella XL and Knut Koivisto about the HR Lantern.
Would you like to be the next?
If so, send us an email including:
- An image created with the help of a Profoto Light Shaping Tool.
- A lighting diagram for this image.
- A short text that explains why you choose to work with the tool in question.
- If you have: behind-the-scenes images from the shoot. (Not required.)
Send your email to images[a]profoto.com.
Mark it with: “Light Shaping Tool of the Month”.
If you have any questions regarding this, use the comment field or tweet us.
Good luck!
sounds like a fun challenge for my beauty dish.
