VIDEO: Ian Ruhter: Silver & Light
Remember our interview with Ian Ruhter? You know, the wet plates maestro who used a double-digit number of Pro-7a generators to suspend snowboarders in time? Well, Ian just returned with a short film titled Silver & Light. The video, which is currently enjoying a viral spread through the photographic community, shows Ian using his self-invented, insanely large camera to create wet plates the size of a large painting. Needless to say, it is nothing short of amazing.
Ian is obviously on his way of making a name for himself – all thanks to talent and relentless passion. So sit back, press play and enjoy. And try to spot the Profoto gear while you are at it!
Our interview with Ian is still here, if you feel like refreshing your memory.

Ian’s devotion to pure photography should cause a great many others with terrific computer skills to sit up & take stock of their art. I have been pushing myself back to film & Ian just gives me confidence.
