
It started off with a low, steady beat. The packs came out, the umbrellas and heads went up. Meter, adjust, perfect. Big cyc done. Next, the small cyc. Add trampoline. The catering service wheeled in the bar service in a slow dance while we clamped a video camera up high and jacked it into a video projector clear across the studio and a huge LCD with its back against the entrance. There would be no way anyone would be missing the climax of this party.
Everyone was hustling as the sun set on Tribeca Skyline Studios, but you'd see people pause a moment to bask in the beauty of our little gas giant dipping into the Hudson and the Jersey skyline. What a view. The music picked up a bit and we knew a crowd was gathering downstairs.
