The Profoto Softboxes are perhaps our most popular Light Shaping Tool. They create a soft yet distinctive light that is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as portraits, weddings and still life photography. Profoto offers Softboxes in different sizes and shapes.

Rectangular and square for portraits and still life, strip versions for defined highlights and more directed light set-ups, plus octagonal softboxes, which are fantastic key light sources for people photography and group shots. Profoto softboxes are of the highest quality.

Photographers often refer to our Softlight Reflector White and our Softlight Reflector Silver as the “Beauty Dishes”. The reason for this nickname is simple. The Softlight Reflectors offer the perfect combination of even illumination and well-defined light direction.

This creates a pristine, natural look with slightly accentuated shadows that is often ideal for advanced portraits and people photography. The silver version delivers an even crispier light for stylish fashion shots.

Grids are uncomplicated accessories that limit the light spread. Profoto offers D1 Grids with 5°, 10° and 20° light spreads. Use the grids to shape your key light, create background effects in portraits, or accentuate the highlights in still life photography.

The D1 Grids are mounted directly onto the D1 monolight. They can also be used in combination with heat resistant filters and/or gels via integrated clips.

Spotlights are used to create eye-catching details by adding selective light effects, patterns and shapes. The Profoto Spot Small is a basic optical spot that can be used to project masks and gobos onto subject details or the background. It is also compatible with accessories in the popular M (Ø 66mm) size.

In contrast, the Profoto Fresnel Small is equipped with a 180mm lens, which can be used to set light accents or imitate movie light effects. Its adjustable iris diaphragm enables precise adjustments of the light spread.
