While I like the premise of this item and the color dots to make it easy to match up the rods of OCF modifiers, the amount of force one needs to apply makes it really difficult to set up. Especially the octabox that has eight rods. I ended up hurting my right thumb/wrist area. I'm getting rid of these speedrings along with my OCF softboxes and updating to the new Profoto Softboxes with the built-in ring.

Made of cast light alloy, it is very durable and lightweight (I thought it was made of reinforced plastic at first), and it is resistant to wear and seems to last a long time.I prepare as many as the number of lamps I use. When I checked with Profoto, I was told that they do not have repair parts for the rubber part that is fixed to the light body.OCF is clearly a part that deteriorates more easily due to weight reduction than RFi, so there are no repair parts available. I hope for supply.

A lot lighter than my previous speedring, more plastic than metal let see how this holds up.

It’s been great - shipped in original packaging, was a great way to buy like-new gear at a discounted price.

This is a high quality product. The reason for the four star rating is because it's pretty expensive for what it is. It is a plastic ring with a rubber grommet to attach to Profoto Monolights. But what it does, it does well. Being new to Profoto, I had some trouble figuring out how to use the Speedring with the soft boxes but after some Youtube videos, it was pretty easy. One thing to note is the design makes it a bit difficult to properly seat the rods into the slots in the ring, especially the 3' octa. I have to use a lot of force to properly set the rods but the good news is once they are in, they don't go anywhere. Breaking it down is a bit easier but still a lot of force is necessary. I'm really new to off camera flash but so far my Profoto B10 Plus and OCF accessories are helping me produce fantastic results. The bottom line is this is an expensive piece of plastic that does its job very well. If you use Profoto soft boxes, you're going to need a few of these.

Easy to use, just follow the colored marks. It´s a part of my OCF Beauty Dish and everything goes in the included bag.

I have purchased four Profoto OCF OCF Speedrings. One of them was defective but was replaced with a new one. A lot of force is needed to mount the softboxes. For me, this is not a problem, but for my wife it is already disputes. Besides, the system is very cool and practical for outdoor photography :)

A speedring for each softbox. you only take it apart if you have to go to location. Thanks to the color code, it is easier and faster to set up. Seat by itself, additionally a tension lock.

Color coding takes the guess work out of setting up your modifier of choice.

Awesome lights and modifiers. I wish the speedrings were a little easier to breakdown and set up. Agressively bending the rods til you get the hang of it, there’s got to be an easier way.

The OCF Speedring is used for mounting an OCF Softbox or an OCF Beauty Dish on your Profoto flash with LED modeling light. It is not your everyday speedring, though. Not only is it more compact and lightweight, but the patent-pending design allows you to snap on the softbox or beauty dish without having to bend and fumble with the rods, while the clever color-codes show you exactly how to assemble the unit.
The classic Profoto rubber collar and clasp makes it easy to mount the OCF Speedring on the flash.
