Video and stills in the same bay with Profoto Elevate
At their studio just outside Zurich, the content team of the leading Swiss footwear and sporting goods retailer, Dosenbach-Ochsner, produces over 120,000 images and videos each year. From sportswear and lifestyle fashion to small accessories and even bicycles: The scale is large, the pace is fast, and the quality expectations are high.
To streamline their video and photo content workflow and boost quality, the studio recently switched to Profoto Elevate, along with the L1600D LED and Pro-D3 flash. For the team, the change has already paid off, especially in their ability to produce e-commerce stills and video in the same studio bay at a faster pace.

One studio bay. All formats. Big impact.
Creating both photos and videos in a single studio bay has unlocked a faster, more efficient production process for the Dosenbach-Ochsner team. Without having to move equipment or switch setups between formats, they can speed up turnaround times, reduce costs, and keep quality consistent across all channels.
“It's the modern-day machine you can use for everything: for high-quality pictures, high-quality videos, and being so fast to export and bring them online, for social media, for the webshop, for everything,” says Lisa, the studio’s e-commerce stylist.
Shooting video and stills with one setup also means fewer variables. The team can focus on styling, posing, and creative direction, not logistics. “Elevate makes it easier to take really sharp pictures and to adjust the light the way you want it, because you have way more options. If it's daylight or colored light or also in the video, you can use different styles of light,” Lisa adds.

The “game changer” for video and stills in one bay
“It’s a game changer in many ways,” says Studio Manager Armin Cerimovic. With over seven years at the company, Armin has seen the evolution of content production firsthand, from early shoots to the recent transition to Elevate. The new setup helps the team work faster and deliver higher-quality results across video and still formats.

Streamlining the studio workflow
The team works with multiple Profoto systems, including Elevate, Eclipse, and Vertical, to cover a wide range of product and on-model content. Articles arrive from the warehouse in the morning, and each week is carefully planned out to assign the right equipment for each product category.
With Elevate replacing the older Live system, the transition was smooth and the benefits are clear. “The Elevate gives us more flexibility. It’s mobile, so we can get closer to the model, change angles, go up and down, and adjust lighting directly from the iPad,” says Lisa. “We used to shoot detail shots by hand. Now we can do everything with the same setup.”

More creative flexibility, better output quality
With Elevate, the team has more creative control and fewer limitations. The lighting, consisting of Profoto Pro-D3 and L1600D, delivers a natural-looking feel, with fine control over temperature and intensity.
“It’s fun to use. We look forward to working with it every time,” Lisa adds.
“The background is cleaner, the colors are more accurate, and everything stays within the same preset, photos and video.”
A new standard for e-commerce visuals
The improvements are easy to see, both inside and outside the company. “We once compared two images: same model, same setup, one shot on the old system and one on Elevate,” Armin recalls. “The difference was huge. And now, even teams outside Switzerland have seen the results and are impressed.”
With Elevate, the team is able to move fast, simplify approvals, and meet both daily and seasonal content needs without compromising quality.

Ready for what’s next
As e-commerce demands grow, Armin and Lisa see Elevate as a tool that keeps them future-ready: “I'm really excited to use all the options we have and also use colors and be creative,” says Lisa. “It's the future,” adds Armin.
